During a holiday in beautiful Devon with my husband and two dogs, we stumbled upon a little slice of coastal magic — The Cove beachfront bar and restaurant at Hope Cove, a relaxed spot known for great food, sea views, and laid-back vibes. 

What really caught my eye was their pizza kitchen with the back of a classic VW Campervan as the hatch. Such a quirky idea that I knew would be perfect for my style of drawing with continuous lines and colourful marker pens.

I took a photo and created the illustration once back home. A creative way to continue the holiday vibe and a great visual reminder of our time in Devon.

Fast forward a few months, and I received a lovely message from Shelley, The Cove’s owner. She’d seen my drawing and asked if they could use it on their new range of branded merchandise. I was delighted and  We agreed a licensing arrangement and I supplied print-ready artwork for production. 

I’m delighted to share that the design now appears on The Cove’s official merchandise, including t-shirts and hoodies, proudly carrying the #covelife tag. The artwork has been beautifully reproduced and perfectly complements The Cove’s relaxed, coastal identity.
